Digital Photographic Practice - a beginning

At the beginning ....

At the start of my second OCA course, I feel energised and excited by the challenges that lay ahead.
When I began Photography 1 a year ago, I hoped that it would both stretch me and be enjoyable. It was a success on both parts and I look forward with anticipation to Digital Photographic Practice.

Why this course ?

During TAOP I found that the quality of my photographic output was often hampered by my lack of technical understanding, skill and creativity regarding image quality. It was almost a question of I didn't know what I didn't know but I did feel a great gap in my knowledge. As I've read more and looked at the work of fellow students and professional photographers, I've become more and more aware of the various procedures stretching between taking the shot and the  finished image. I have dipped a toe into the water but now want to swim..

So reading the course outline for Digital Photographic Practice I realised that this was just what I was looking for as my next step. Having now read the whole course in preparation for starting work, I feel encouraged by my decision.  I don't underestimate the challenge.. I look forward to it ...and sense that I'll really enjoy myself on the way to completing the final project.
